Dr. Christine Ann Adamo is a board certified Oriental medical physician. She practices herbal medicine, nutrition, natural supplementation, acupuncture, and detoxification. Her training is in internal medicine and she treats a variety of conditions such as digestive disorders, cardiovascular complaints, neurological issues, autoimmune diseases, and pain.
Dr. Adamo’s passion is in integrative oncology, providing specialized care for patients with cancer. She brings relief to patients struggling with the side effects of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery and provides post-treatment and survivorship care. In addition, she offers holistic assistance to patients who choose to bypass conventional cancer care.
Dr. Adamo is a graduate of the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. While attending Pacific College, she interned at the San Diego Cancer Center, treating in oncology and hematology; San Diego Hospice, focusing on pain management and palliative care; and San Diego Rady Children’s Hospital, treating in oncology, hematology, and chronic pain. In addition, she received post graduate training in China at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She interned at the university’s hospital doing rotations in oncology, cardiology, and pediatrics. In addition, Dr. Adamo attends various training programs in oncology, including the Annual Integrative Oncology Training Conference at the University of Texas MD Anderson, named the top hospital for cancer in the U.S.
Throughout the year, Dr. Adamo teaches various classes on Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as Integrative Oncology. She teaches continuing education classes for medical students and other licensed health care providers. She has also been an instructor for the Osher Lifelong Learning Program at California State University, San Marcos.
Dr. Adamo has a private practice in the North County of San Diego. She’s worked as part of the integrative medical team at California Cancer Associates for Research and Excellence (cCARE) for the past eight years and was a co-founder and owner of the San Diego Center for Integrative Oncology.
